IAA Day 7: Chantal Agapiti

Indie Author Advent Day 7: Chantal Agapiti

Welcome to day 7 of the 2025 Indie Author Advent! This fun series will help us to get hyped for 2026 by celebrating some of the wonderful indie releases of 2025! Today I am interviewing Chantal Agapiti. Be sure to check out my Instagram for even more excitement with this event!

Chantal's 2025 Release[s]

1. What is your favorite thing about your 2025 releases?

"I’ve always been a forever learner, curious about all that is life. That’s the basis for my poetry collection called Y.U.P. which I wrote to make people reflect about everyday things, things we think we know and to show we should stay curious and question all aspects of life as if we were still children."

2. What are your inspirations for your books?

"For my poetry collection I drew inspiration from everything and anything. Life is inspiring, and there are so many aspects we’re still trying to grasp. I love the fact that learning possibilities are endless, as learning means change and change means evolving which keeps us alive."

3. Why do you think representation is so important in books?

"Because books represent who we are, as if we were holding a mirror to ourselves, to the society we live in. Xenophobia often thrives where people are too scared to ask questions and just prefer to stay away from people they don’t know or don’t understand. Thanks to books even these people get the chance to break down those self-constructed walls, and who knows what positive influence this may have in their daily interactions."

4. Any advice for people who want to publish in 2026?

"It took me 41 years to gain courage to write what I was meant to write all along, so don’t ever think it’s too late to write what you were meant to write."

5. What are you most looking forward to in 2026? Any more releases on the horizon?

"You never know when inspiration will take over your mind and make you do the work. I have several works in progress in my mind, but I’ve not been ordered to write them yet. It all happens at the right time, whenever my subconscious says it’s time."

6. Is there anything else you would like to add?

" No matter what you’ve gone through or are going through still; believe in your ability to change things for the better. If a little woman like me could, I’m sure you can too. And if you need some support, I welcome you to read my books. That’s why I wrote them."

Outro

Thank you to Chantal for getting involved in this advent! I am excited to see what they come out with in 2026. Stay tuned tomorrow for another amazing indie author and their releases!
