T10T: Buzzwords/Phrases That Make Me Want to Read a Book

Welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday, following the list from That Artsy Reader Girl! I've been pretty busy lately, so I am happy for an easy prompt

This week's prompt is..... buzzwords/phrases that make me want to read a book

These are in no particular order

  1. Found family
  2. Dual/multi-POV
  3. Written by an indie author
  4. LGBTQ+ rep
  5. Neurodivergent rep
  6. Swoon-worthy romance
  7. Twisted high-society characters
  8. Summer vacation vibes
  9. Small town setting
  10. Meddling older folks
It is a bit of a mixed bag for me in terms of the kinds of books I gravitate towards. If a book includes any (especially multiple) of these, I am very down to give it a try. Do we have any in common?

Here it all is in a pretty lil' graphic as always

If you happen to know any good books with these themes or tropes, I am always down for recs! See you next week!

  1. Meddling older folks can be such a funny addition to a story, especially if it's a cozy murder mystery 😂😂

Found family is a popular choice this week and it was on my list as well!

  3. Great list. I'm not sure whether I agree with meddling older folks, though, too many in my family. LOL

  4. Nice list!! This year I've joined and have been participating in an lgbtqia+ reading group hosted by our public library. In February, we read and discussed the novel, Kiss Me, Maybe by Gabriella Gamez. Have you read it? It's good romance novel.

    1. That's so awesome! I wish I had that near me. I have not read that one yet, but I will have to check it out!

  5. This is a great list, Harlow. The only one I wouldn't have on my list is High Society. I'm not a fan of rich, spoiled folk, even if they are twisted.

    1. The only way I like them is in thrillers (where they tend to be killed), I feel like that is an important caveat
